This line is a service number set up for customers and employees of Adidas. Customers can call this number for assistance with anything ranging from help with an existing order to questions about specific Adidas products. The line is also set up to help current Adidas employees with inquiries.
When I called, I was greeted with an automated message that offered two menu options for Adidas customers: check on the status of an existing order or get product information. The purpose of my call was to determine why I had been unable to order a specific pair of Adidas shoes, so I opted for the product information option.
It doesn’t take much time to listen to the initial greeting and menu options on this line, which I viewed as a positive. As a customer calling with a specific question, it’s nice not to have to sit through a long introductory message or an overabundance of menu options.
Once I chose the product information option, I was taken to a sub-menu that listed a few different product categories. Again, the menu was relatively short and didn’t take much time to get through. Because the product I wanted to inquire about was not specifically named on the menu, I chose the “all other questions” option.
At this point, my call was transferred directly to a customer service representative. The rep who took my call was quite friendly and turned out to be very knowledgeable as well. I informed her of my issue: I was trying to buy a pair of soccer shoes, but for some reason they couldn’t be shipped to my address.
The rep indicated that I wasn’t the first person to call with this specific issue. The shoes I wanted to buy, a popular Adidas model among soccer players, are made with kangaroo leather. The state I live in bans the sale of products made with kangaroo leather. Therefore, Adidas was unable to ship this particular model of soccer shoes directly to my address.
I asked if there was any way to get around this prohibition. The rep, while empathetic with my situation, informed me that there was really nothing that Adidas could do in this situation. I could purchase the shoes at an out-of-state store or have them shipped to an address in another state, but there was no way for Adidas to ship this shoe model directly to me.
Although I was disappointed with the situation, I was pleased to have received the information with so little hassle. This customer service line was very user-friendly, and the rep with whom I’d spoken was quite knowledgeable about the Adidas product I called about. If I had another question or customer service issue with Adidas, I would feel confident in calling this number again.
Should a call to this number be unsuccessful for any reason, Adidas also provides customer support via the company’s website. Their main help page includes a live chat option and a well-organized list of common customer issues.
