I have recently discovered that the email and pictures I shared have been taken down. I am Cotton Batte, the owner of On the Level Carpentry, a General Building Contractor. I have been using Nextdoor since [redacted], but I am unsure of how everything works. I did not receive any notification about the removal. Can someone please assist me in understanding what happened and guide me on how to get my post reinstated? It is currently 7:23 p.m. on April 8, [redacted], and I am feeling confused about why my post was removed without explanation. I am struggling to find a way to contact Nextdoor directly for clarification. It seems complicated to get assistance as I may need to pay a monthly fee to access support. I simply wish to learn from my mistakes and move forward. I am looking for guidance from someone with more experience on the platform. Your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am feeling very frustrated with the Eldorado NM Next-door sign-up process. After receiving an unnecessary email, I encountered multiple verification prompts and password change requests. When I tried to enter the code from the postcard, I was told it was too short. This experience is causing me a lot of stress and irritation. As a new homeowner, I rely on Next-door Eldorado for information, but the registration system seems overly complicated and disorganized. Why do I need a new email for a second account in another city? The inconsistency in code length is confusing and frustrating. This whole ordeal has been exasperating, and I have never dealt with such a chaotic and frustrating online process before.

I have frequently posted on Nextdoor in Miramar Beach, FL. As a retired pulmonary and critical care physician, I have shared useful, evidence-based information about COVID-19 in the safety category. Despite being in a politically conservative area, I've faced criticism from some members who mistake medical advice for political opinions. I don't mind differing views, being a retired Army veteran who values free speech. However, I've noticed my comments disappearing while right-wing messages remain. Another member shared detailed information about my qualifications which also vanished mysteriously. My goal was to provide accurate information about COVID-19, countering misinformation in the community. Unfortunately, some inappropriate comments targeting me as an African American were left unaddressed for days. I recognize that Nextdoor has the right to moderate content, but selective censorship based on political leanings is concerning. I hope for transparency and fairness in managing discussions on the platform. Respectfully, LeRoy M. Graham MD, FCCP, LTC (Retired), US Army

I'm experiencing an issue with my account being suspended due to sharing personal information related to fighting COVID-19. I have had this happen twice already. My doctor prescribed high doses of Zinc, B12, and antibiotics for me. I was informed that hydroxychloroquine is only for lupus patients. Additionally, as a blood type O negative individual, my blood is in high demand due to the natural immunity it provides. I recently donated blood. Unfortunately, suspensions are not up for appeal. The moderators in Punta Gorda seem biased and make decisions influenced by emotions and politics. I would appreciate knowing the specific words or facts that led to the suspension. Some members are changing their usernames to initials, and it seems there may have been mistaken identity issues. I've noticed ongoing harassment from individuals I had previously muted, with approval from moderators who have now also changed to initials and have allowed the harassment to continue. I appreciate your time and consideration. Thank you. - K.W.

We canceled our account months ago, and they are still charging us $35 a month. We contacted the phone number 1-[redacted] and were directed to help.nextdoor.com, but both options were unhelpful. The 24-hour helpline only directs you to the website, which has no valid address. We initially obtained the phone number from the Chamber of Commerce in California. This runaround is incredibly frustrating. They are even requesting a new card number, despite us closing our old account and opening a new one. As a result, we have to dispute the charges with our bank every month. It feels impossible to take legal action against them. Their claim of resolving issues is unbelievable. I am over 80 years old, and I cannot fathom that my estate, if it exists, will have to deal with this situation. My wife is also still being billed.

I need assistance regarding a HIPAA violation complaint. I am looking to obtain a copy of a deleted post on Nextdoor made by a medical provider named Sherry Bowling. The post was possibly made on July 23, [redacted], and mentioned details about my financial situation. I have screenshots of my responses to Sherry but not of what she said to another person named Dawn. I believe Sherry is a new user with only one post. Sherry has blocked me, possibly realizing the seriousness of the violation. I need this information to report the incident to the HHS. Your help in retrieving this post would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Best regards, Janelle Peabody

This spring, I came across Nick Hanberry's lawn care business and planned to give them a call later. After contacting them, I was told that I live too far away. I then reached out to Flawless Lawn Care, who provided prompt service every two weeks, and I was pleased with their work. Despite thinking I only needed to unclick the save button, I continued to receive emails about Hanberry's lawn care coupon from Nextdoor or Mr. Hanberry. I am not interested, and I would like to know how to stop these emails. On a positive note, I enjoy using NEXTDOOR and have had pleasant interactions with other people there.

My Nextdoor account has been suspended for 31 days, and I would appreciate a review. You can find my account under [redacted] As in the news media, I am covering a story on how Nextdoor aids in finding missing individuals. Recently, over [redacted] members of Nextdoor, including myself, contributed to locating a missing person over a 2-day search. However, upon logging in, I discovered my account suspension. I believe this is an error as my interactions on Nextdoor are positive, and I have a large following who appreciate my contributions. I kindly request a top or lower-level manager to look into this issue and reinstate my access. I hope this can be resolved promptly as I am in the middle of writing an article on the positive impact of Nextdoor in finding missing persons. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding by a monitor, and I am eager to continue engaging with my community on Nextdoor.

I have been in contact with NextDoor support regarding an issue with my account. Myra from NextDoor responded to my inquiries about a removed post on Tuesday, October 5th at 10:30 am. She informed me in an email that there were no restrictions on my Surfside - Surfside Open Discussion account. However, I have now discovered that my account in Sun City, AZ has been disabled due to one post. In this community, there are individuals who strongly oppose the Homeowner's Association's governance and often post aggressively. I have shared some of these incidents with Myra for review. The leader of this group is Patrick Johansen, who is the ADMIN despite not residing in our HOA. I am eager to regain access to my Sun City, AZ account, as it is unrelated to the Washington State NextDoor. I want to clarify that I am a victim of circumstances, not a malicious poster. Restoring my account will allow me to communicate with my neighbors in Sun City, AZ effectively. Thank you, Sheri Mosher.

According to Article 1, Section 2 of the California Constitution, "SEC. 2. (a) Every person has the right to freely speak, write, and publish their thoughts on all matters, while being accountable for any misuse of this freedom. No law should limit or curtail the freedom of speech or the press." This provision does not grant Nextdoor permission to infringe upon my or any individual's Freedom of Speech on their platform. Nextdoor's guidelines do not carry the weight of the law, nor do they have the authority to create laws. By disregarding these laws, Nextdoor is violating both California and U.S. Constitutional rights. Should Nextdoor persist in disregarding our rights protected by state and U.S. Constitutional law, the only recourse would be to pursue legal action under California Constitutional law Article 1, Section 2, where it clearly states that every person has the right to freely express their sentiments.

I recently joined Nextdoor thinking I was in a private group for connecting with others. Unfortunately, the woman I was speaking with failed to mention she wasn't part of this group. She has now posted our conversation on the main feed. I live in this area, and if anyone sees it, I will feel embarrassed. I had believed this was a group for meeting new people. Please remove this post promptly. Her name is Nipuni Dezoysa from South Sudbury.

There are illegal contractors advertising in AU Anderson, SC, USA, [redacted], and I want to warn the public against using them. Particularly concerning are electrical contractors who may not be legal or insured. This poses risks such as potential home fires and financial liabilities for homeowners if accidents occur. As a retired licensed GC with experience in inspecting large-scale projects, I've worked to ensure contractors are legitimate for decades. Despite being inactive in my corporation now, I'm still vigilant in protecting consumers. Please reinstate my account ([redacted]) so I can continue advocating against unlicensed and uninsured contractors advertising freely. Thank you.

I believe I have been unfairly suspended due to automated reports, which were then upheld by a majority vote without any actual violation of guidelines or codes of conduct. Nextdoor seemingly indiscriminately subjected two of my responses to a community vote without just cause. Despite minimal votes for removal, the platform still decided to remove them. As a moderator, I fulfilled my duties by defending the majority with well-reasoned responses. There appears to be no valid reason for my suspension as I did not breach any Nextdoor Guidelines. Please reinstate my account promptly. From a resident of Wild Horse Estates, Loren B.

I posted about the need to stop police brutality, but my post was deleted before it could even load. Then, a man messaged me accusing my account of being fake and threatened me. He claimed to have power over the situation. This feels like its own form of brutality. I have the right to share my experiences with police, even if they are negative. I shouldn't be silenced just because someone disagrees with me. it's not right for him to intimidate me into removing my post, especially since his actions appear to be a form of bullying.

I established an account years ago and used my email [redacted] I receive Nextdoor emails daily at this address. Initially, I had a profile picture, which is now missing. I am trying to respond to a message, but it requires verification. I don't possess a cellphone to receive the code via text, so email verification would be more convenient. Please consider enabling email as an option for code verification. It would be inefficient to have to await a postcard by mail for this purpose. Kindly provide a verification code in your email reply. Thank you. Caroline

I am a member of the Teson Neighbors community in Hazelwood, Missouri. Recently, there have been suspensions of several members from our group. The reason given is related to the spread of false information and conspiracy theories about Covid-19, vaccines, and elections. I believe that this action constitutes censorship which is concerning as it goes against the principles of free speech protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. The information I shared was based on medical facts from reputable sources like certified medical professionals and scientists. I provided links for verification purposes, ensuring transparency. We are requesting the restoration of our access to the platform. If our access is not reinstated promptly, legal measures may be pursued. We are prepared to take action against Nextdoor for what we believe is censorship and a violation of our rights to express our opinions based on factual information.

I believe I was unfairly censored for sharing information about the risks of the COVID-19 vaccine, which was supported by reputable doctors and scientists, on the neighborhood website Nextdoor. I provided links to sources backing up the information given by a group of certified doctors who highlighted the potential dangers of the vaccine. To rectify this wrongful suppression, the clause regarding misinformation used to justify censorship should be removed. Has anyone taken the time to visit the website of these doctors to verify the information firsthand? Who has the authority to suspend users on Nextdoor who believe they understand vaccines better than medical experts? It is concerning that without investigation, users are being penalized under the guise of preventing misinformation. This clause seems to hide censorship and violates legal rights. It is essential to eliminate it promptly and reinstate access to those affected. That would be the just way to address this situation.

I have two verified accounts. The one I typically use is under the username Joanna F. and the email associated with it is [redacted] I recently discovered a second account under my full name Joanna Fikaris. It has my picture but uses a different email address, which I think is ‘[redacted]’. I have tried various emails to access this account without success. I have email evidence of creating a Nextdoor account with this email on 9/27/19. This specific account is the one I cannot log into and wish to delete. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this matter. I initially had reservations about joining this platform, and now I am encountering issues that are making me regret it. Thank you, Joanna
