Our company employee fell victim to a scam where someone impersonated them via email, requesting a change in direct deposit. The scammer used company paperwork to contact HR and the changes were made, leading to the employee's 9/30/22 pay of $[redacted].55 being deposited fraudulently into a GreenDot Bank account with the following routing and account numbers: RT [redacted]20 and ACCT [redacted]36 (Checking). We urge you to investigate this fraudulent activity, freeze the funds in the criminal's account, and reimburse our company. I already spoke with a GreenDot Bank customer service representative who confirmed the deposit. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I purchased a card at Walmart in Spring Hill, Florida, a Visa Green Dot Bank card. I paid $80 towards it. My electricity is at risk of being turned off if I can't make an online payment. Visiting the website, I am unable to activate the card as there's no way to verify my flip phone cell number that cannot download apps. When trying from a PC, I suspect the site doesn't send a text to verify because I'm not using my phone for it. A big red rectangle appears saying, "Cannot activate your card at this time, please try again later!" Contacting customer service, it's impossible to speak to a live representative, which is unacceptable. If this isn't resolved promptly, I may report it as fraud to the police. I have all receipts. I have received my replacement card for the one I reported lost or stolen. However, upon activating it, I encountered an ERROR CODE when trying to use it at a gas pump and ATM. The code is provided below. I have been unable to reach a human for assistance for about 2 weeks now. I know my old card number matches the new one, but I am lost without my old security code (CVV) to explain my situation to a representative. Additionally, I am experiencing issues with the mobile app. When I tap the icon, it briefly pops up and then immediately closes, making it difficult for me to access the necessary bar code to withdraw cash at Walmart. I purchased a Green Dot card to add funds to my son's phone account while he was in jail. After activating the card and adding money, I tried to create his account, but he only managed to call me twice before the funds ran out. I was shocked to discover that Green Dot had deducted $7.95 as a service fee from the $20 I had put on the card in less than one day. This fee was not mentioned when I bought the card. It is unfair to charge a monthly service fee when I had barely even used the card for a day. I feel deceived and disappointed by this sneaky practice. I will not use Green Dot again and will advise others against it. Conducting business in this manner is unacceptable and unethical. I hope Green Dot realizes the impact of their actions on their customers and strives to improve their practices.

I have attempted to contact your customer service line 42 times over the past two days because I am unable to access my Green Dot account. Unfortunately, the customer service chat has not been helpful. I accidentally created two accounts, and despite trying to rectify the situation, they were not able to assist me. I hope to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.

I have not used my prepaid card in over a year, and I inadvertently had money sent to it through Facebook Pay. However, there have been $[redacted] in monthly fees deducted from my account without my knowledge. I tried reaching customer service several times, but each call either got disconnected, transferred multiple times, or put on hold indefinitely. This whole experience has been frustrating, and I am in need of assistance in getting my money back from these unauthorized fees. I recently received my tax refund on my Green Dot account with your institution. The account has been inactive for over 90 days since I was incarcerated in the North Carolina Department of Corrections. I have my release documents and identification ready. Hello, I visited Las Vegas last weekend and purchased a Visa card at Walgreens since the festival didn't accept cash. The cashier failed to inform me that I needed to be an American with a U.S. address, phone number, and security number, but I am Canadian. I had been banking with Greendot for two years until they closed my account in September, not once but twice. They were supposed to issue a refund check for the funds taken out on October 4, but I still haven't received it as of the 16th. After they supposedly sent another one out on the 19th, I still had not received it by November 2! I can explain the situation more clearly over the phone. I have recorded conversations with Walmart Money Card and Greendot technicians who all give me conflicting information and are not helpful. I have contacted a lawyer, but all I want is the money owed to me. As a single mom, I am at risk of losing my apartment due to this issue. Please reach out to me as soon as possible.

I purchased a $[redacted] Walmart Visa gift card (confetti design) using my Walmart Rewards card on 10/25/22. Unfortunately, the card does not have a CVV number on the back. I tried to exchange it at the Walmart store for the same card with a CVV number, but they explained that it's against company policy because I had left the store before opening the card. There was no sign indicating this policy where the cards are sold. I'm unable to resolve this over the phone because the automated system requires the CVV number to speak to a live agent. Now, I'm out $[redacted].94, accruing interest on my Walmart Rewards card, and unable to use the gift card. Feeling frustrated.

To whom it may concern, I am informing you about an issue with a transaction I made using Green Dot services at 7-Eleven. I deposited $75 and was charged a $4.95 fee through Green Dot. Despite having a receipt with the details, I have not received the deposited amount. I have the Approval#, the STTN# number, and the approval time for reference. I reached out to 7-Eleven for a refund, but they confirmed being charged the fees as well, indicating the problem lies with Green Dot. My bank, Metabank, has no record of the transaction, suggesting the error occurred between 7-Eleven and Metabank, with Green Dot being the intermediary. My card was blocked as soon as my tax refund was deposited. This keeps happening repeatedly. I'm frustrated seeing this issue reported on every help site and social platform I visit. Who will take action on this situation? Why are they targeting people on the IRS platform? I am determined to find answers. These scammers are preying on low-income taxpayers, and it's alarming that the government seems complicit. Why haven't the attorneys general of all states addressed this? They are even targeting those on SSI. It's disheartening to see how little is being done while individuals are left searching online desperately for assistance. How is this level of exploitation deemed acceptable in our country?

I accidentally scratched off the last four digits of my Money Pak card while using a coin. I contacted the store where I purchased the card, and they advised me to reach out to Money Pak for assistance. I recently emailed about my issue with accessing the funds on my Money Pak card. I find the explanations provided quite confusing and seem like excuses for why I cannot access my funds. I explained that I am unable to see the last four numbers on the card due to smudging caused by the coin I used to scratch it. I bought a Green Dot gift debit card with $[redacted], but I am facing numerous activation problems: 1. Despite registering, I cannot activate the card. 2. My Walmart Money Card expired on 04/22. I have tried contacting customer service through various channels with no success. I simply need to request a new card to be sent to Stella W. at 7 Heritage Dr Apt [redacted], Claremont, NH [redacted]. The number on the back of the card is not providing the assistance I need, as I am unable to reach the right department to address my card renewal. Numerous online chats have not yielded the solution I seek in getting connected to the appropriate support team for issuing a new card.
