I have been a long time spectrum customer.*Gladys and Ernest Gilbert, My husband passed away * years ago. My spectrum bill kept going up, so last month, I spoke to a representative and cancelled my cable. The representative cancelled my cable while I was on the phone, I was told that I should pay only **.**, for May, and send the equipment back.*I did as he instructed. However I got email today, *I still owed the full amount, and it had to be paid by **th. My bill is due the **th of each month, and I have never missed a payment.*Today I spoke with supervisor Anya, and she said the charge was right, and she couldn't do anything to change it. *I ask her why would I have my cable turned off, if I could have watched for longer, at the same price.*She said there was nothing more she could do, and when I ask if there was someone else I could talk to, she said they would tell me the same thing*and did not offer.*I am ** year old, and am on a fixed income, when the price went up with my may bill, I just couldn't afford.*I'm not looking for a handout, but commonsense was dictate that if I could have kept cable for extra days, certainly I would have.*my account number is *****************security code is *****Could I please get an answer,*I understand Charter owns Spectrum.
