To buy and sell stocks on SoFi, you need to open a SoFi Active Invest Account. To open one, take these steps:

1. Open the SoFi app and sign into it.
2. Tap the Invest icon.
3. Tap Start Active Investing. The Contact Information page will appear, with most of the fields autofilled.
4. Check that the autofilled information is correct.
5. Fill in any fields that were not autofilled.
6. Tap Next.
7. Tap No under "Are you using this account for retirement?"
8. Tap Personal Investment Account.
9. Tap Next.
10. Answer all the questions.
11. Agree to the terms and conditions.
12. Tap Agree and Continue. You will be asked if you want to link your bank account to your SoFi account in order to transfer funds to it. To link the accounts, follow the instructions below. To skip that step, tap Skip This Step for Now.
13. Locate you bank in the bank list and select it.
14. Enter login credentials for your bank.
15. Tap Next.
16. Click the Add Money button.
17. Enter the amount of money to transfer.

20. Submit the transfer.
