Start by gathering any relevant documents or information that support your case. Then, contact MOHELA directly to dispute the mistake. Relay your concerns, provide them with the necessary documents, and ask for a correction. If this doesn't solve the issue, you have the right to file a dispute with the credit-reporting agency. The agency must investigate the item(s) in question within 30 business days, and if the information can't be verified, then it must be removed. You can also dispute errors with the original credit creditor, in this case, MOHELA.
